Considering the biblical 'law' in light of 'freedom in Christ'

From Jesse --> For our consideration this coming Sunday

Hey everyone, I enjoyed the conversation we had on Sunday and wanted to thank you again for giving me the opportunity to teach.  Some of you asked me to send out the two passages we looked at as well as the questions I asked to reflect on them.  Well here they are :)

Matthew 5:17-20, Galatians 2:15-21, (supplemental) 2 Tim 3:16
Questions to Reflect on:
1) How does this law/passage reveal freedom; or: how does it teach me how to experience life to the fullest?
2) How does this law/passage reveal the character of God?
3) How did Jesus emulate this law/passage in his life?
4) As ambassadors of Christ, how does the Spirit convict us to emulate this law/passage in our lives?
5) Repeat question 1

Next week we'll focus on what is the proper posture for believers living in the new covenant towards the first covenant and how Jesus and the Apostles' actions bring both freedom and responsibility.  Don't you just love shallow care-free conversations!?  :)  Till then, enjoy your weeks!
